Q What motivated you to participate in the program?

There are two reasons why I participated in the program. One reason was that I wanted to check how far my English skills would go in daily life. The second reason was that I wanted to experience how it’s like to live abroad. 

Q What was your most memorable experience during the program?

The faculties who were in charge of the program, the international students from other countries, and the local people were really nice! I was deeply impressed how kindly they helped me when I encountered problems.

Q What kind of classes and activities were held during the program? 

In addition to Korean traditional culture and Korean language classes, we also had K-POP dance and Taekwondo experiences! All classes were taught in English (with some Korean), but if I asked questions about anything I didn’t understand, they explained it to me very kindly.

Message to those considering joining the program

For some people, it may take courage to decide to study abroad. I recommend going to Korea as a first step because Korea is similar to Japan in many ways and also because people are very kind. The best thing about participating in this program was that I gained confidence in myself. Although it was only for a short period of 10 days, I gained a lot of confidence not only in my English skills but also in my ability to deal with problems through various experiences.
