This Summer School is a part of Asia Applied Artificial Intelligence (A3I): Real Problem Solving Driven Artificial Intelligence Education Program provided by 4 universities: University of Yamanashi (Japan), Hangzhou Dianzi University (China), Pukyong National University (Korea) and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia).

The Summer School this year is to be held by Hangzhou Dianzi University (China). The students will gather at Hangzhou to learn the edge-cutting AI technologies, deepen their knowledge on solving the real problems by using AI, enhance their cross-cultural understanding and English communication.

We are waiting for students who aspire to learn the latest AI technology, engage in research discussion in English with students from diverse backgrounds, play active roles globally in the future.

Summer School Application Guideline /Summer School Application Documents

【Intended Participants】

Engineering Department students who have fundamental knowledge on AI field.

【Schedule】

August 7 (Mon), 2023 (Departure) ～ August 21 (Mon), 2023 (Arrival)

【Contents】

・Practice on AI related project (topics will be based on the proposals from the cooperative companies or university labs and activities will be held by mixed groups with members from different countries)

・Company visit (about 2 companies from the options of Huawei, NetEase, Alibaba)

・Academic speeches (about 4 professors or experts from the industry)

・Lectures on AI (2-4 hours/Day)

・Communication with HDU students

【Expenses】

・Program fee and Airfare are borne by the university

・Accommodation fee: around 6,000 JPY are borne by participants

・Food cost at local, overseas travel insurance, safety confirmation system (OSSMA), round trip

transportation fee to Narita/ Haneda Airport, visa application fee are borne by participants

・The pocket money is to be prepared by the students themselves.
